3 weeks in Berlin Villa

Studying German in Berlin was an enriching experience. I practiced the language daily, both in structured lessons and through interactions in cafes, on the streets, and with Berlin's diverse community

The Siegessäule, or Victory Column, is such an iconic landmark in Berlin! I remember the day we visited, starting with the impressive sight of the column itself, standing tall in the middle of Tiergarten. The golden statue of Victoria at the top, glinting in the sunlight, was breathtaking even from a distance.

The Berliner Dom is another unforgettable landmark we visited in Berlin! As we walked toward it, the first thing that struck us was its sheer grandeur. The cathedral’s massive dome, adorned with intricate details and topped with a golden cross, dominates the skyline in that part of the city. It’s surrounded by the lush greenery of the Lustgarten, which adds to its majestic presence.

While we waited for everything to cook, we hung out, talking and joking around. Someone put on some music, and it just added to the relaxed, laid-back vibe of the day.

Our trip to Wannsee was incredibly relaxing. The weather was perfect as we strolled along the lake, enjoying the calm water and the surrounding nature. We spent time on the sandy beach, soaking up the sun and even dipping our toes in the cool water. The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect escape from the city.

Playing mini golf together was a blast! We had fun navigating the course, hitting some great shots, and sharing laughs.

Visiting the Brandenburg Gate was awe-inspiring, standing before such a historic symbol of unity and freedom. We took in its grandeur, especially lit up at night. Watching the England vs. Spain match later was thrilling. The energy in the room was electric, with everyone on edge during every play. The excitement, especially during the tense moments, made it an unforgettable experience.

Our visit to Potsdam was like stepping into a different world. We explored the beautiful Sanssouci Palace, with its stunning gardens and intricate architecture, feeling like we were walking through history. The city’s peaceful charm, cobblestone streets, and picturesque parks made the day both relaxing and enriching. Wandering through the Dutch Quarter and soaking in the unique atmosphere was a perfect way to end our visit.

Visiting the Berlin Wall was a profound experience. Walking along the East Side Gallery, we saw the vibrant murals that tell stories of freedom and resistance. The Checkpoint Charlie Museum offered a poignant look at the Cold War era and the daring escapes from East Berlin. It was a powerful reminder of the city's history and the resilience of its people.

The Freiluftkino was a delightful experience. Watching a film under the stars with an open-air setting added a unique charm to the movie. The relaxed atmosphere, coupled with comfortable seating and the crisp evening air, made for a memorable evening. It was a perfect way to enjoy cinema in a different, more casual environment.

Visiting the Reichstag was fascinating. The iconic glass dome offered stunning panoramic views of Berlin, showcasing the city's blend of historic and modern architecture. Inside, the historical significance and the modern design elements made the tour both educational and visually impressive. It was a powerful symbol of Germany’s democratic spirit and a highlight of our trip.
